Faith Formation
Catechism, sacramental preparation, adult faith conversations, and inquiry for those exploring Catholic life help the parish grow in understanding and discipleship.
Many gifts, one body in Christ, serving God and neighbour through the life of the parish.
Every baptized person has a place in the mission of the Church. Parish ministry is how ordinary gifts become service: a clear voice reading Scripture, careful hands preparing the altar, a patient catechist teaching children, a musician leading prayer, a neighbour visiting someone who is ill, or a family helping with seasonal parish life.
St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church encourages parishioners to serve according to their abilities, availability, and stage of life. Some ministries require training or diocesan screening; others begin with a simple conversation and a willingness to help.

Parish outreach includes prayerful attention to the sick, grieving, homebound, isolated, and those in difficult seasons. The goal is personal presence, confidentiality, and Christian compassion.

Music supports the prayer of the assembly and gives voice to the seasons of the Church. Singers and instrumentalists serve best when they combine skill with humility and attention to the liturgy.

Family ministry helps children and young people see the parish as their spiritual home. Seasonal gatherings, sacramental preparation, and intergenerational fellowship all play a part.
